How
to get to Boracay
There
are two way to get to Boracay by air - via Kalibo or flying
directly to Caticlan. Philippine Airlines, Air Philippines and
Cebu Pacific have as many as 5 flight a day from Manila to Kalibo.
From Kalibo, transfer buses will take you to the Caticlan Jetty
Port, an hour and a half away. There, you will have the experience
of taking a boat ride on a native crafted banca to the island,
about 15 minutes away.
One
can fly directly to Caticlan by Asian Spirit on one of their
3 daily flights. The Caticlan Jetty Port is only a few minutes
away by tricycle.
For
the adventurous, one can take the Super Ferry to a port near
Kalibo where transportation is available to Caticlan.
Seasons
in Boracay
There are two seasons in Boracay
- wet and dry seasons. Moonsoon rains come during the months
of July to September. The rest of the year is generally dry.
There
are also two room rates - low season rates and high season rates.
Low season starts on June 16 and extends to October 15. High
season starts on October 16 and lasts until June 15 of the next
year. Prime season rates apply to the Christmas and New Year
Season and Holy Week.
