Galera - the Spanish translation of "Port of the Galleons"
was discovered by the Spaniards in the early 16th century as a
safe haven for their trade ships during heavy storms and typhoons.Legend
has it that once arrive, the sailors never wanted to leave! Depending
on how you want to travel we can organize most of the transportfor
you at no extra cost on transportation.
DIVING SITE
Luckily
Puerto Galera has been saved from the destruction that has occured
in the rest of south east Asia.
With
30 different sites anywhere from one minute to one hour away and
having thousands of different species of coral and an abundant
aquatic life along with a changing topography for each dive site
(we even have a few wrecks to dive on) You could spend a week
diving here and still not get to see it all.
The
Dive Shop
The shop is ideally situated under the restaurant and right on
the water front, it has an ample supply of rental gear as well,
as euipment for sale. Having two dive boats one being 15 meters
long with a capacity for 20 divers the other boat being an 8 meter
long speed boat capable of carrying up to 8 divers.
On
your doorstep only three hours from Manila by bus and boat.Or
40 minutes by seaplane. Then you can be in "Paradise".
